"Isolated in a small corner of the island of Kefalonia, very close to the village of Lixouri, Vladis (known under this name by his family and friends) watches over his vineyard which looks more like a large garden where fruits, olives and vines. Its six-hectare estate has settled on a site known for its wines for thousands of years. Favorite place of the Venetians, who in the Middle Ages, prized this limestone soil to make wines with great mineralities that they called Vino di Sasso (rock wines).
Vladis is a pioneer of biodynamic culture in Greece and favors local grape varieties of all kinds, such as muscat, robola and mavrodaphne. The majority of his wines are vinified in white, but he also makes vintages in red as well as a small quantity in orange wine. We also owe him one of the best sweet Muscat in the Mediterranean.
Its wines are made with little intervention and with a minimal addition of SO2. They are marked by a very pure side and by a unique freshness. They are real local wines in the sense that no other place in the world can allow the production of such wines; only this small island lost in the deep blue sea can do it. Its wines are available in a wide range of styles, but always demonstrate purity and freshness, and like man himself, the wines are radiant and represent vivid expressions of the soil and the sun of Greece." - Oenopole
